Therese Johaug is pregnant. She tells NRK that. She is due during the first half of the year.
– That is the greatest thing one can achieve. It surpasses all the golds I have won, so to speak, she says to NRK.
“The herd is expanding”, she writes herself on Instagram.
– I think it’s very pretty, and then I have to say that I think it’s a little scary. That you don’t quite know what you’re getting into. But that I’m really looking forward to it. I feel that a lot has happened in 2022, says Johaug.

She retired as a cross-country runner after last season. In recent months, she has worked as a cross-country skiing expert for NRK. She tells the channel that she is excited about becoming a mother.
– I am used to managing my everyday life all by myself, and suddenly there is a completely new boss in the house. It’s a bit of joy mixed with horror, she says.
Johaug was for a number of years a teammate and competitor with Marit Bjørgen, who had children both during and after her skiing career.

– I’ve talked a lot with Marit (Bjørgen), so I’ve got some tips on what to look for and what I can train. I have received good follow-up from the people I have worked with, both at the Olympiatoppen and earlier, she says to NRK.
The 34-year-old has four Olympic golds and 14 World Cup golds in her career, as well as the fact that she has won the World Cup and Tour de Ski three times in total.
Fiance Nils Jakob Hoff is world rowing champion. In 2022 he went to the top in the Mesternes mester on NRK.
