A car with two people crashed through a fence before hitting a car and a house on Nordstrand in Oslo on Thursday night.
Thursday 9 May at 03:02
It was the two residents of the house who reported to the police. They were not injured in the incident.
– It went well with them physically, but they were quite shocked, says manager of the Oslo police district Thomas Khan to VG.
– They have received follow-up from the police and health services on site, and the municipality has also been notified, he adds.
The car should not have driven through the actual wall of the house, which is slightly below the road.
Sent to hospital
The two people in the car have been taken to hospital, and one of them is seriously injured, the police told NRK.
– The car drove off the road, through a shed and a fence and a post, before they came across a car and into the house, says operations manager Øyvind Hammervold to the channel.
The police reported the case a little before 01 am on Thursday.
– The police carry out investigations, interrogate and secure leads, says task leader Khan to VG at around 2am, adding that blood samples are also routinely taken.
– Landed on top of the neighbour’s car
VG has spoken to a mother and daughter in the neighbourhood, who say that they jumped out when they heard what they describe as a real brake screech.
– It sounded like when a racing car brakes really hard, a screech like that. It lasted a long time, says the daughter.
Afterwards they heard a loud bang.
– I ran out of my room, then I met my mother in the hall and then we ran out of the house. There we saw that the car had landed on top of the neighbour’s car, she says.
– It was very violent, adds the mother.
