– A robbery in a drug store went quite wrong – Greater Oslo

--

It was a robbery in a drug deal that ended quite badlysays police prosecutor Christian Hatlo in the Oslo police district.

On 26 November last year, a man in his late teens was critically injured after he was hit by a car at Solli plass in Oslo.

The police quickly hypothesized that the accident was not accidental.

In the days that followed, four young men between the ages of 16 and 18 were arrested and charged.

All denied criminal guilt.

Now the investigation is nearing its end.

The police have drawn up a picture of what happened before the collision.

Mainly on the basis of the explanations of the man who was hit and the four who were in the car.

Sas we have been told, it was supposed to be a drug sale.

But it ended with a robbery and a conflict between these parties, which eventually resulted in this collision, says Hatlo.

He will not go into detail about the course of events.

But now you can NRK found out what happened this November evening at Solli plass.

Robbed for weed

A white Nissan Leaf stands in a parking space by Incognitogata.

The dashboard shows that it is 7 p.m. Outside it is minus four.

Four young people between the ages of 16 and 18 are sitting in the car.

Some of them will buy hashish.

The seller appears. A man in his late teens. He gets into the car.

But instead of getting money, he is robbed for the drugs. With a machete.

The salesman gets out of the car. He pulls out a handgun. Gets the hash thrown at him.

The car drives off, but not far. Only one round in range before it returns.

Now the hash seller is being run over.

The car stops for a moment. A person slips out. Goes over to the man and takes the hash.

Then the car with the four young people drives away from the scene.

Again on the street lies a critically injured man.

People unknown to the police

The police are taking the case seriously.

We believe that a deliberate collision is clearly very serious. We see this as attempted murder, says police attorney Christian Hatlo.

The four young men have been charged for attempted murder, robbery and for placing a person in a helpless state.

No one fully admits criminal guilt to these records here, says Hatlo.

Laila Afelad is defending the 18-year-old who drove the car.

NRK has asked her several questions.

My client has admitted partial guilt during questioning. Beyond that, I do not want to comment on anything further before the main hearing.

The people involved in the case are not particularly well known to the police from before.

Two of them are not registered with the police at all.

Lying in an artificial coma

The man in his late teens who was critically injured in the collision was in an induced coma in hospital for a long time.

It took over two months before he was able to explain himself to the police.

Police prosecutor Hatlo has not concluded what he thinks the four who were in the car should be prosecuted for.

Before the summer, he expects to send his proposal to the state attorney.

It is a matter of priority since there are only young players. The case will then be scheduled for the main hearing sometime in the autumn, says Hatlo.
