Until the end of June, Norwegian travelers with membership in other airlines’ loyalty programs can apply for similar status via a Flying Blue status match.

This is what KLM and SkyTeam write in a press release.

This exclusive offer includes upgrading to Flying Blue Silver, Gold or Platinum with unique benefits within 12 months, such as priority check-in and boarding, the opportunity to earn more Miles, free seat selection and much more.

Flying Blue is the loyalty program of Air France and KLM.

– We are very happy to offer Norwegian frequent flyers the opportunity to join Flying Blue and take advantage of this status match, which is valid until the end of June. This is the first status match of its kind, so if you want to try another bonus program this is the right time and just in time for the summer holidays, says Tom Verbugt, General Manager for Air France and KLM, Northern Europe.

Air France and KLM are members of the airline alliance Sky Team, which has been named “Alliance of the Year” two years in a row at the Air Transport Awards. The Flying Blue status match includes access to SkyTeam lounges for Gold and Platinum members.

– From 1 September we also look forward to welcoming SAS to SkyTeam, says Tom Verbugt.

To apply, eligible customers can visit flyingblue.statusmatch.com, pay the applicable fee and upon approval, status will be upgraded immediately. Customers who are not existing Flying Blue members can join the program on the Flying Blue website and complete the application.
