Tom Cruise back in Norway

--

The Fjordingen newspaper writes this on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the newspaper, Tom Cruise (61) did not have time for an interview on Tuesday, but their journalist was able to snap some pictures and take a video of the actor.

Cruise has finally been spotted, after a couple of days of wild speculation. On Saturday, his private plane landed at Ålesund airport Vigra – something documented by VG.

Åndalsnes Avis has also written about how a film shoot took place in Molde, where a production company was given permission to, among other things, block off the Atlanterhavsvegen for filming.

Not in the filming area

Fjordingen has received a tip that Cruise is at Hoven in Loen municipality to base jump – but they have not had this confirmed.

Loen is located in Stryn municipality in Northwest Norway, and is a popular place for base jumping and other aerial sports activities.

Avisa is said to have seen two people who base-jumped from Hovenfjellet, then landed close to Alexandria Hotell. It is not known whether it was Cruise who jumped – but he is known to perform his own stunts.

Neither hotel manager Richard Grov nor the crew of a helicopter waiting at the scene want to comment whose they were waiting, opposite the newspaper.

Also in 2020, Cruise was in Norway to record a film – then number seven in the “Mission Impossible” series.

Then he jumped from the Health Jump on Sunnmøre, which according to director Christopher McQuarrie is the most dangerous thing they have attempted.

According to what Fjordingen is informed, the 61-year-old is not in Loen in connection with filming.

Last year, the actor was in Svalbard to record scenes for “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two”, which premieres next year.

Last week Cruise was in London to record protest scenes, writes industry newspaper Screen Rant.

Travel expert: – Gets the best

DinSide and Dagbladet’s travel expert and journalist, Odd Roar Lange, believes the American thought it was so nice in Western Norway the last time he was there, that he simply wanted to come back.

– It is not entirely unusual that world stars have become Norwegian friends and come back to be here on holiday, says Lange.

He himself was surprised by how beautiful it is in the area when he was there on holiday two years ago.

– Tom Cruise arrives at the best time of the year. There are fjords, waterfalls. Blue sea, green in the middle with birch leaves and white on the tops. He gets the best, says the travel expert.

He believes there is some truth to the claim that Cruise not is here to record a film, and would understand well if the star took the opportunity to carry out a base jump.

In addition to giving Tom Cruise a great travel experience, Odd Roar Lange says that this is very good Norwegian advertising.

– America is an investment area for Norwegian tourism. So this is extremely valuable. The value of Tom Cruise being here can hardly be measured in money.
