(iFinnmark): The leader of Rød Ungdom in Finnmark, Thea Fremstad, resigns after not being called to the national board meeting in Oslo.
It was NRK that mentioned the lack of summons to the meeting and the leader of Red Youth in Finnmark, Thea Fremstad, tells iFinnmark that she does not buy the management’s explanation that a computer glitch is the reason why no one was summoned from Finnmark, Troms, Nordland or Trøndelag.

– I have access to the party’s databases and it is not true that these do not contain correct information which has made it impossible to get a summons to the national board meeting to us north of Trondheim.
– I have checked in our membership system and it is not correct as Secretary General of RU, Syver Kleve Kolstad, explains that their systems were not up to date. I have therefore decided now, while we are talking together, to withdraw from Rød Ungdom, says Thea Fremstad to iFinnmark.
Criticism of the central government
Fremstad explained to NRK what she thought was the reason why Finnmark was left out of the call. She and the other leaders in the county teams have previously criticized the central board.

– We believe that there has been a coup in RU’s central board. That there has been a group within the party, Kommunistisk Enhet, which has infiltrated the board, says Fremstad.
– Was it the video in which the newly elected leader of Rød Ungdom Amrit Kaur, among others, characterized Jonas Gahr Støre as a terrorist, that was the final straw?
– It is not possible for me to be part of Red Youth anymore, I am therefore resigning and I want to do that as soon as possible, says Thea Fremstad to iFinnmark.

– It has not been on purpose
General secretary Syver Kleve Kolstad explained to NRK that the reason the meeting was not called was that their computer systems were out of date.
– I haven’t had a complete overview of who has been the national board representative for Finnmark, and that they haven’t received information in the right place. It has been incredibly problematic that I haven’t had it up to date.
– It has not been on purpose that I have not had a sufficiently updated system of who sits on the national board. I simply had not sent the email to the right place.
