In April, representatives from the student councils at all the schools in Sola met in Bukis (Children and Young People’s Municipal Council). Each school came up with their wish lists, and the sum of these was over NOK 700,000.

However, the pot is 200,000, and divided into groups, the schools had to negotiate and adjust their wishes down so that everyone gets something within the budget.

This is how the money is distributed – from 23,000 to 10,000

Kjerrberget secondary school receives a total of NOK 23,000. 5,000 of these will go to “teq-ball tables” and the rest will be used for cushions for the school auditorium. The school’s last wish for mirrors in the physical education cloakrooms had to be ironed out this time.

Sola secondary school wanted pegs for outerwear in each classroom, air hockey, two games, foosball and equipment, table tennis equipment, new chairs in the science room, tables for group rooms, notice boards for soundproofing, better seating in the library, bookshelves in classrooms and a rubbish bin for the school yard. Sola secondary school receives a total of NOK 20,000, of which NOK 18,500 will go to two air hockey tables and NOK 1,500 will be used for table tennis equipment.

Haga school Wanted gap hut/superstructure, maintenance of gravel track and various painted tracks on the asphalt, as well as the drinking fountain. The school receives NOK 20,000 for gap huts/superstructures.

Tananger secondary school asked for money for table tennis tables outside and inside, long tables and benches for seating inside and equipment to train strength in connection with the gymnasium. The junior high school in Tananger receives NOK 20,000 for long tables and benches for seating inside.

On Neighbor’s school they want mosquito nets and microphones that can be connected to facilities in the assembly hall. They get NOK 7,000 more for this. In addition, the school receives NOK 10,000 to create a cushion room in a reinforced ward. A last wish for hand painting for a storm shed had to be crossed off the list this time.

The children’s level at Dysjaland school wanted more of these, the drinking fountain or faucet outside, trampoline and gymnastics equipment, underground trampoline, water slide for the swimming hall and large trampoline for the gymnasium, equipment for arts and crafts, as well as a new cannonball court with fences. Barnetrinnet at Dysjaland receives NOK 10,000 for new fences and NOK 5,000 for a new cannon ball field with fences. A total of NOK 15,000.

Røyneberg school asked for money for three Lego walls and a ramp for the zipline. The school receives NOK 15,000 for three Lego walls.

All the wishes to Skadberg school comes true. The school receives NOK 15,000 for play equipment to be used during recess, as well as large communal games for the environmental corner room.

Sola school wanted books for the library, photo cameras, microphones for Chromebooks, regular microphones and quality footballs for outdoor use. Sola School receives NOK 13,000 for a photo camera, microphones for Chromebooks and a normal microphone.

On Storevarden asked for money for artificial grass on a new, small football pitch, outdoor balls for various activities in the schoolyard and new books for the school’s library. Storevarden school receives NOK 12,000 for outdoor balls for various activities in the school yard.

On Håland school have they wanted recess packages with toys for the primary school and a youth package for the middle school. This gives them NOK 11,000 more. They also wanted money for “The battle” set for 16 players and sled mats, but this did not stretch the budget.

True school wanted an air track for the gymnasium, a 3D printer, as well as fruit trees and bushes for the school garden. They are granted NOK 10,000 for the latter.

Dysjaland junior high school wanted pupils and new benches for the canteen, board games, balls and air track. They also wanted better, softer chairs, equipment for the hall, outdoor furniture, outdoor plants and new books for the library. The youth class at Dysjaland receives NOK 10,000 for furniture for group rooms in the new building, and will use this money to buy better and softer chairs.
