From Lisleby to FFK
Arigon Fejzullahu is a 2009 model and came from Lisleby to FFK when he was offered a place in the G14 squad in 2022. He started his football career for Lisleby at the age of 6 and could always be seen with a ball at his feet either at home in the garden or at the Central Sports Complex. Now he and his family live in Sellebakk, while Arigon attends Haugeåsen secondary school and plays football in FFK. Despite his young age, he has already played several games for the G17 team and made his debut for the G19 team this year.
The signing itself had to go quickly as Arigon was most concerned with getting out on the training field for the session with the G17 team, but he was also concerned with thanking everyone who has contributed to his development. Now he is looking forward to continuing the hard work towards his dream of playing for FFK in the Eliteserien.
“First, I would like to thank my mum and dad, family and friends who have supported me all the way. I would also like to thank all the coaches I have had in Lisleby and FFK who have helped me become the player I am and who I will become. I I would also like to thank all my fellow players who have pushed me and supported me. Now I want to show myself worthy of FFK’s trust by doing everything in my power to become a top player.” Tells Arigon.
Speed, physics and skills
Arigon is a left-footed centre-back with great speed, good physique and good basic skills. He is also a leader who always takes the floor in the dressing room and on the pitch. He sets high standards for himself and those around him. He has been a fixture on the circuit team in recent years and has been to the NFF’s talent camp.
“I have been lucky to follow Arigon’s development ever since he started playing football in Lisleby. He has always been very good at his level, but what has always characterized him is the enormous hunger he has to become as good as he can. In In addition, he is a leader and has a strong will to win. These mental qualities, in addition to his skillset, mean that I have great faith that he can go very far as a footballer. There are many exciting types in our Development Department now, so we will see more who can get their first professional contract during 2024”. Says Magnus Pettersen.
The flagship in our region
FFK has a clear ambition to be the flagship for player development in our region. In recent years, the Development Department has carried out several major lifts, which is also the ambition to do several times in the coming years. In sum, this should provide many top players from Fredrikstad and Østfold.
“Arigon is an exciting player we have great faith in, and as we have communicated many times, we want to be the flagship for player development in our region. It gives us a great responsibility to make the best possible arrangements for players like Arigon. The development department has grown and professionalized in several stages in recent years, together with ever-improving work out in the cooperative clubs in Fredrikstad, so we are absolutely sure that there will be many top players from Fredrikstad in the years to come.” Joacim Heier concludes.
