Housing and property, Nordstrand district

--

Over the hiking trail in the Lambertseterskogen and down the slope, there are cables coming from the municipal plot of land located at the edge of the forest down from Bergkrystallen, right by the Avstikkeren housing association. Nordstrands Blad has been tipped off several times about these wires and hikers have wondered what the wires are actually for.

In February, Morten Schau, communications manager at Elvia, could state that they had had crews out to check the conditions. The result was that it could probably be an illegal power connection.

The case was forwarded to the local electricity authority (DLE), which is subordinate to the Directorate for Community Security and Preparedness (DSB). Now DLE has also checked out what these wires are for.

Has carried out inspections

Section manager in DSB, Jon Eirik Holst, says that they have conveyed a report of concern to DLE and that the case is still considered ongoing at the Norwegian Electricity Authority.

– They have carried out on-site inspections, and prepared an inspection report based on their observations.

He further says that DLE will follow up on the inspection report. In February, Holst could say that if illegality is proven, those responsible will be asked to rectify the situation. If this is not met, orders and sanctions may be issued. DSB will process any decisions.

Got a postponed deadline

Nordstrands Blad has written a number of stories about the rowing plot at Lambertseter. EF Drift disposes of the plot on the edge of the forest at Avstikkeren by Oslo municipality. The area is used in connection with road operations in the districts of Nordstrand, Søndre Nordstrand and Østensjø. Since 2016, the company has had an agreement with Oslo municipality regarding the municipal roads.

The Planning and Building Agency has an ongoing case regarding the conditions on the site. They believe that a number of buildings have been set up on the property that have not been applied for and approved.

On 12 March 2024, PBE issued an order to rectify the illegal conditions on the plot. The deadline for complying with the order was originally set for 16 May 2024, but that deadline was postponed in April.

According to case inspection, the background is that EF Drift’s contract with the municipality expires on 30 August. The deadline is now set for 16 July.

Nordstrands Blad has tried to get in touch with EF Drift. They have not yet responded to our inquiries. We will update if there is a response.
