– I have 4.5 years approved from law school, so there is only the small master’s thesis that remains. I intend to spend the summer writing it, says Borch to Nordlys.

It happens after she resigned as minister in January when a number of textual similarities with other assignments were found in the master’s thesis. In March, the University of Tromsø (UiT) canceled her thesis due to plagiarism.

“The tribunal believes that (…) Borch has cheated and that the result from the master’s thesis must be annulled. The diploma must be withdrawn,” says the decision from the tribunal that assessed the thesis.

Borch has repeatedly pointed out that she did not deliberately cheat, but she admitted to being sloppy.

She tells Nordlys that she has not decided what the new task will be about, but she guesses it will be something within administrative law.

– Now I will be very careful with sources and references, says Borch to the newspaper.
