Keep Norway Clean invites you to Norway’s most important meeting place on marine litter in Bergen 7 – 8 May

The Keep Norway Clean conference 2024 is fast approaching! This year is Hold Norge Clean’s jubilee year, and in collaboration with the clean-up environment in Bergen, we have therefore chosen to return to the conference’s roots and put voluntary clean-up in the centre.

This year is Hold Norge Rent’s jubilee, and ever since we were founded as an organization ten years ago, our main task has been to facilitate voluntary clean-up.

Voluntary clean-up is an important popular movement in Norway, but the field is changing. The Keep Norway Clean conference will highlight the commitment and success stories, discuss challenges and look to the future, so that voluntary cleaning continues to have a strong position in Norwegian society.

– The volunteers are crucial in the work against littering. In addition, this voluntary effort constitutes Norway’s most important source of data and knowledge about littering, says project manager for the conference Maria Waagenes.

Together we clean up Norway

The theme for this year’s conference May 7 – 8 is “Together we clean up Norway”and it is county mayor Jon Askeland who has the honor of opening the conference, and holder of the King’s Medal of Merit, Kenneth Brukvik, will lead us through the program as conference moderator.

In collaboration with the Bergen and Surrounding Outdoor Council, the Norwegian Environmental Protection Association and the Nature Conservation Association in Hordaland, the two days will offer panel debates, informative presentations, opportunities for networking and exciting professional excursions.

The Keep Norway Rent conference 2024 will take place at the Grand Hotel Terminus in Bergen.
