Eleven offers are nailed down in the first section of SommerfestiValer, which runs from 12 July to 3 August. And there are well-known and solid Norwegian names who will be in the tent and entertain, and three combinations will take place on the Plenen from 24 to 28 July.

– We don’t need to reinvent the wheel. We want to give our guests a summery experience, and make no secret of the fact that we are targeting the 30 plus market, says the host.

The host watched “The Voice” and called mentor Espen Lind

He elaborates a little: – We want to offer local food, and many people want both that and accommodation with a top-shelf musical experience in the same package.

– The package is not completely packed either. We have a little more to offer in volume two.

ARCHIVE VIDEO: Here Magnus Grønneberg sings on Allsang på grensen:

– But if you look at the list throughout the summer, are there well-known names who have visited before?

– That’s right, and the answer is simple: We want them, and they want to come to us. For some artists, the parting remark is often “we’ll talk next year”. And the following year we just pick up where we left off the year before. In any case, this is how we used to deal with Bjørn Eidsvåg, chuckles Elgheim.

Sailing West and Kurt Nilsen share the Lawn on Wednesday 24 July. The yacht rock band with ten members has, among others, Stian Joneid and Maria Mohn at the front.

Trang Fødsel and Postgirobygget come on Saturday 27 July with a guaranteed party factor, and Odd Nordstoga and Ingebjørg Bratland share the big stage on Sunday 28 July with their acclaimed collaboration, cultivated in the thickest of Telemark.

On the last weekend, there will also be a reunion from the west. Bjørn Eidsvåg is a newly celebrated 70-year-old who brings the band with him and arrives on Friday 2 August, before married couple Karoline Krüger and Sigvart Dagsland round it all off on Sunday 3 August.

The day for the young

And no, we haven’t forgotten TalentfestiWhales. It will be decided this year on Thursday 25 July. Winners from there have gone to the final and almost to the top in Norske Talenter.

Ludvik Falch was 11 years old when he won at Hvaler in 2022 with Maria Mohn as singing teacher. This winter he lost the final for Musikaljente.
