In the press release, it appears that the company has not succeeded in arriving at a solution due to low construction activity.
– Our thoughts go out to everyone involved, Wedvik says in the press release.
– We especially think of all our customers, employees, dealers, suppliers and partners who have stood by our side for many years.

Problems in the entire housing market
The company has been struggling for a long time, but as recently as last week Wedvik said they were still hoping for a solution.
The company refers to the housing market in general, where the construction of only 13,642 new housing units has started in Norway in the last year. This is a drop of 50 per cent in the last two years, the company writes.
BoligPartner believes that they have put in place a number of measures to prevent what has now happened.
Among other things, this applies to cost cutting, downsizing and restructuring.
Retailers are not affected
– We are proud of everything we have achieved over these 30 years. Together with our skilled dealers, we have created one of Norway’s best-known brands in housing construction, and realized over 15,000 housing and cabin dreams across the country, says Wedvik.
The company says all of its independent dealers are not affected by the bankruptcy and will continue to operate.
BP Gruppen Norge had a turnover of NOK 1,438 million last year and NOK 995 million in 2023.
