Bråtabrann is a band with strong local roots in rural Norway. Originating from both Østfold and Finnskogen, they have all grown up with farming and nature in good harmony. Now spring is just beginning and soon we see sprouting fields and animals grazing. What could be better than releasing a small tribute to the farmer and life on a farm? Bråtabrann’s newest song “Her er det liv” is exactly about this. The grateful glance at being able to dedicate your life to what you love, which also means that we other people in this country get good food products on our dining table.

On Good Friday itself, the band released one of country history’s greatest classics in Norwegian garb together with Oda Gondrosen. The song was very well received by the audience, has already been streamed over 100,000 times and is now one of Norway’s most shared songs on Spotify.

Bråtabrann is Norway’s new addition to the rural band scene. The band has its roots in Østfold’s wide fields and now with its new addition also Flisa’s deep forests. The band’s new frontman Anders Trongaard originates from Flisa and is a well-known man in the music scene in Hedmarken. The rest of the band consists of four very skilled concert and studio musicians from Trøgstad: Mats Raknerud, Ingvald Holmen Minge, Kristian Aadalen and Christoffer Dahl. This group has both together and separately toured the country with various constellations, as well as made a name for themselves on several disc recordings.

Last year was used to establish the band, play a sold-out Krøsset in Oslo and release a lot of music. The reception was good, which has already resulted in over 1 million streams, as well as their first song ‘Hjemmekjær’ climbing all the way onto the list of Norway’s most shared songs on Spotify.

This year, the band will build on the good start with bigger concerts, good song releases and lots of fun. Several of the concerts have already been announced and we can look forward to seeing Bråtabrann at the Country Festival in Vinstra, Norsk Countrytreff in Breim, Rebel City Roots Festival in Båstad.
