Vidar Tellefsen and his wife were actually supposed to be on their honeymoon now, but it has been postponed. One of the reasons is that Vidar was asked if he could participate in the environmental debate at Ælvespeilet next Thursday.
– It was due to the fact that the honeymoon was postponed, and when the request to participate in the debate came, it was good to say yes to take part. We can take the honeymoon a little later, he says.
As a developer of several commercial areas in Bamble over the years, he has helped to build on areas with nature. Now he is currently working on an expansion of the business area at Langgrøningen.
– Have to make some choices
– There is a great focus on the degradation of nature these days. But it is actually the case that in order to develop, you have to make some choices. In order to build business areas and roads, you have to build where there is nature. And I think we have enough nature to take off in this country. It is important that this comes out in such debates, he says.
Wide panel
Vidar Tellefsen will be part of a broadly composed panel in this debate. PD editor Erik Enger and future PD journalist Per Erik Buchanan Andersen from Litteraturgarasjen will lead the debate as usual. With them on the panel are ex-mayor Hedda Foss Five, Roy Vardheim from Grenland Havn and Frier Vest, opinion leader Tommy Sørbø, Sverre Gotaas from Herøya industrial park and Terje Rønning from the business area at Lønnebakke. Politicians from Bamble and Porsgrunn have also been invited.
