Elverhøy Park was launched and put up for sale in May 2022. In October it was taken off the market again.
– The project was launched without carports and guest parking. Buyers would prefer not to have to scratch their cars. And since none of the apartments have been sold, we had the opportunity to take the project off the market, temporarily, and put our architects Børve Borchsenius on the case. It turns out that our potential buyer groups, both young and old, expect good parking facilities, and then we have to look at the whole project again, said marketing manager Lars Christensen at Porsgrunn Bamle Borgestad housing association at the time.
CEO of Porsgrunn Bamble Borgestad housing association, Morten Borge, can confirm to PD that lack of parking is the reason the project is back on the drawing board.
– We recently conducted a member survey. It shows, among other things, that parking is very important for our members, also for those who move from a detached house to an apartment. It has been a lesson to see how important parking is for potential buyers in Porsgrunn, said PBBL director Morten Borge at the time.

Now they have redrawn the project, and in the housing association’s latest member magazine they have released news about the project. It has now been redrawn. All the apartments now have external storage and a carport solution. The project is divided into several sales stages. The first stage consists of one building with eight apartments.
– We believe that these apartments will be widely popular, and that they will appeal to both young couples looking for their first home and more adults who want to replace their detached house with something simpler and easier to maintain. Inside, the apartments are characterized by large window surfaces and well-thought-out solutions, writes broker Hanne Eriksen Davik in the members’ magazine.
There are four types of apartments in the first construction stage. All are 3-bedroom with hallway, open living room and kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom and a laundry room/technical room. The apartment will be from 65.3 to 74.5 square meters in usable area. There will be two apartments of each type in the first building stage.
