Haaland has bought a billionaire apartment in Oslo

MANCHESTER (VG) Manchester City star Erling Braut Haaland (22) has bought the apartment of billionaire Runar Vatne (48).

Vatne put the apartment, located at Sommerro in Oslo, up for sale earlier this spring. The price tag was NOK 35 million. Haaland is said to have bought the apartment for the aforementioned price, according to the newspaper.

Furthermore, Finansavisen writes that the billionaire must have tried to sell the apartment off market first. Then the bids did not reach the price Vatne wanted.

The apartment at Sommerro is on the eighth floor out of a total of ten. It is 154 square meters in size and has three bedrooms. According to Finansavisen, Vatne has recently renovated the apartment.

Sommerro is best known for housing one of Petter Stordalen’s newest hotels, but several apartments were also created in the same building project. The project consists of the old premises of Oslo Light Works, as well as Villa Inkognito and the old western bath, and contains 231 hotel rooms and 12 suites.

Enormous sums have been poured into the restoration of the building, which Stordalen’s Strawberry Brothers as owns 50/50 together with property developer Aspelin Ramm. NOK 2.5 billion has been invested, according to E24.

Hans Houeland in DNB Eiendom has been the broker for the sale of Vatne’s apartment in the building.

Runar Vatne is one of Norway’s most famous and successful investors. In 2022, he was listed with a fortune of NOK 1.70 billion on Kapital’s list of Norway’s 400 richest.

At Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s press conference in Manchester on Friday, surprisingly little was said about Erling Braut Haaland.
