Nettavisen: In the aftermath of the Gullruten award ceremony, there were several people who reacted on social media to how Olafsen led the programme.

Among those who reacted was Nettavisen’s commentator Maria Ludvigsen.

– Gullruten opens with Helene Olafsen and two dancers, in what appear to be “Austin Powers” outfits. There is dancing in small (but after all good and well-executed) movements, while Helene Olafsen rattles off things that have to do with the world of entertainment. It mostly feels like they are walking around the stage and occasionally just tilting their heads a little, Ludvigsen wrote in a comment.

– The sour panties

– At the same time, the sour panties have hit the nail on the head once again, Olafsen writes on his Instagram profile.

– Maybe I feel I have to explain a little more. So this was my idea, and I’m super proud of the work we did. And with my hand on my heart: I have never received so many pleasant and fun feedback on a job I have ever done.

Nettavisen has contacted Helene Olafsen in connection with this case. She has not responded to their inquiries so far.

Instead of talking his way through the script and presiding over the award ceremony in the usual way, the presenter danced and sang his way through the big event.

Ludvigsen responds to Olafsen’s messages as follows:

– It’s nice that Helene is clarifying. It’s perfectly fine for us to disagree on how good or bad this idea was. I repeat and emphasize that I love Helene Olafsen, Gullruten and her presenter skills. I just hated this idea/feature.

Olafsen received support from the celebrity couple Niklas Baarli and Benjamin Stilseth.

The couple did not understand the negative comments Olafsen has received, and said they liked the feature.

– I think the dance was quite delicious and corny. I didn’t quite understand the thing, and I like that a bit when it’s a bit strange and different, so she gets five stars for it, said Benjamin Silseth to Nettavisen recently.

– I have danced in an opening at Gullruten myself, and know how demanding it is. She danced much better than me, so I think it was a roll of the dice, added Baarli.
