Kim Kardashian (43) is not known for saving money when it comes to preparations for the annual Met Gala.
In return, the star’s outfits rarely go unnoticed. In 2022, she made headlines when she lost seven pounds to be able to wear the same dress Marilyn Monroe wore when she sang “Happy Birthday Mr. President” to President John F. Kennedy in 1962.

During this year’s gala, the 43-year-old has once again left his mark on the event. On the night of Tuesday, she appeared wearing a corset-style dress – which tightened her waist to extreme lengths.

In the comments section on Instagram, neither criticism nor praise has been forthcoming, and fans are clearly divided as to the signals Kardashian sends.
“Is your waist even in the room with us?” reads a comment.
“Kimberly, where’s your torso?” reads another.
“This is at a point where it is disturbing,” writes one user.
Some also criticize the 43-year-old for being sick, and a bad role model who promotes an unhealthy body ideal. Many also question why she accompanied the dress with a cardigan.
This is not the first time the star has shown off a non-existent waist. Earlier this year, she received a lot of criticism when she posted photos on Instagram wearing a corset from the brand Mugler.

In the pictures, the figure-hugging garment could be seen tightening around her waist, leaving fans and followers in splits. A recurring comment in the comment section was also then that the 43-year-old “must have poisoned his organs”.
Kardashian wasn’t the only one making headlines when she arrived at the gala, either.
Artist Tyla (22) got into trouble when she was going up the stairs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Fortunately, she didn’t come alone.
In order not to ruin the skin-tight dress, the 22-year-old was lifted up by four men.
