Charlotte Casiraghi divorces after four years of marriage

However, there has been little luck in love in the family. Therefore, many people asked the question: How long will it last? And now the rumors say that the two have separated after only four years of marriage.

According to several media outlets, including French Voici, Charlotte is said to have filed for divorce already in December after they “went through a crisis” due to her husband’s busy schedule.

Prioritize the children

– Charlotte prefers Monaco, where her children go to school. But Dimitri’s work requires him to be in Los Angeles, Paris and elsewhere, a source tells People.

The couple have a son Balthazar (5) together. Charlotte also has a son Raphael (10) from a previous relationship with Gad Elmaleh (52). And for her, life with her two sons has the first priority.

Charlotte only came with her two sons to the official celebration of National Day in Monaco on November 19 last year – and she was alone during Paris Fashion Week in January this year.

The last time the couple were seen together in an official context was during the traditional Monaco picnic in September, and an anniversary dinner at the Monte Carlo Opera Garnier in October last year.

History shows that there is a lot of unrequited love in the princely family. Bitter divorces and tragic deaths have actually been far more common than long, happy marriages!

The husband died suddenly and brutally in a boating accident in 1990.

Nine years later, she then married the German prince of scandal Ernst August (70). The two are still married on paper but have lived apart since 2009. Drunkenness, fighting and infidelity marked the relationship which created headlines around the world for years.

When her uncle Prince Albert (65) married Charlene (46) in 2010, Charlotte came to the wedding with her longtime boyfriend, Alex Dellal (40).

Most people thought the two would be the next couple out. But instead it ended abruptly, and Charlotte got together with the 16-year-old French-Moroccan actor Gad Elmaleh.

The two had a child together in 2013, but then separated in 2015. She was then linked to Italian film director Lamberto Sanfelice (47) before meeting Dimitri two years later.

Some claim that the reason why love breaks up time and time again in the famous family is that a centuries-old curse rests on the princely house.
