The Republican governor of South Dakota, Kristi Noem (52), has a book that will be published in the near future, and it has already received a lot of attention for its many startling quotes and statements.
In excerpts from the book “No Going Back”, Noem claims, among other things, that at a young age she euthanized her dog with a gun.
Many also raised eyebrows when the governor claims in her book that she met the country’s leader Kim Jong-Un on a visit to North Korea while she was a member of Congress in the United States, writes the New York Post.
“I’m sure he underestimated me, having no idea of my experience in taking down petty tyrants (I had been a children’s pastor after all)”Noem writes in the book.
It has now been confirmed that a meeting between Kim Jong-Un and Kristi Noem never took place.

Had to apologize
It is true that Noem visited South Korea in 2014, but there are no official or “secret” documents to indicate that she made the trip to North Korea, writes the New York Post.
Several experts have also come out and said that Noem’s story does not hold water.
Others were also surprised that Noem referred to Kim Jong-Un as “president” instead of the correct title “Chairman”.
Noem had to endure harsh criticism for the story about the dog that she euthanized, but the story about Kim Jong-Un has not only had consequences for her.

A Democratic congressman from Florida recently had to apologize after he joked that Noem and Kim Jong-Un ate dog together in North Korea.
“Why do I get the feeling she would eat dog with Kim Jong Un?” Rep. Jared Moskowitz wrote, after Noem made a TV appearance.

Moskowitz’s post immediately received reactions that he highlighted stereotypes. After a short time he deleted the post and published a new one in which he apologized.
Trump gives thumbs down
Kim Jong-Un is not the only famous person Noem claims to have met in her book, she also claims to have met Chinese President Xi Jinping, Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and then British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
For a long time, Kristi Noem was seen as a possible vice president for Donald Trump and she has long been a rising star in politics in the United States. Now, however, it may look like Noah’s star is about to fade.
According to Rolling Stone, the story of Noem and the killing has made Trump “upset”, and the former president is said to have spent a lot of time talking about the incident and making fun of Noem in recent days.
