Khrono writes that the nomination committee points to Tor Grande ahead of the meeting where the Board will choose NTNU’s next rector. Jan Gulliksen will be number two.

Tor Grande has been acting rector at NTNU since his predecessor Anne Borg left. Now Khrono reports that he is best placed to secure the position.

Khrono writes that several independent sources state that Tor Grande is the first choice for the job as the new NTNU rector.

New chancellor debate: NTNU is struggling to open up the process

The final decision on who will become NTNU rector will be taken during a closed part of the board meeting at NTNU, on Wednesday 15 May. NTNU has invited to a press conference around 12 o’clock on Wednesday afternoon.

Avisa also writes that they have learned that Professor Jan Gulliksen at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm is set for second place.

Universitetsavisa has tried to gain access to the documents relating to the appointment to the position of rector without success.

There were ten applicants for the position of rector initially. Four were allowed to participate in the second round. It was Grande and Gulliksen, who are now reported to be set. In addition, the deans Monica Rolfsen and Øyvind Gregersen were also present.
