Sergej Mingazov is now in custody in Khabarovsk in the far east of Russia, according to his lawyer, Konstantin Bubon. He has not succeeded in getting in touch with his client.

According to Bubon, Mingazov risks up to ten years in prison for sharing reports “about the events in Butsha” on Telegram.

Immediately after the invasion of Ukraine, Russian forces moved into the Kyiv suburb of Butsha. When they later withdrew, a large number of slain were found there.
