Actress Angela Harmon (51), known from, among other things, the court drama “Law & Order”, experienced every pet owner’s nightmare when she was supposed to have groceries delivered to her door this weekend.

On Instagram, Harmon writes that the delivery boy got out of the car, delivered the goods and shot their dog.
“This Easter weekend, a man who delivered groceries for Instacart, our precious Oliver, shot and killed,” she writes initially in the post, which has soon reached 11,000 comments.

– Completely traumatized
Usually the family uses a surveillance camera outside, but when the incident took place it was inside charging. Harmon claims the man caught it and knew he wasn’t being filmed.
“The police let him go because he claimed it was ‘self defence’. He had no marks on him and was not bitten, nor did he have any tears in his clothes,” writes the heartbroken star.
She points out that the courier delivered the goods under the identity of a woman, and shared a screenshot showing the picture and name linked to the man’s profile at the company.
“He shot our dog while my daughters and I were at home and he just kept saying, ‘Yeah, I shot your dog. Yes I did’. We are completely traumatized and completely devastated by the loss of our beloved boy and family member.”

A spokesperson for Instacart has been informed of the disturbing incident, and says the following in a statement to People:
– We are very sorry and shocked to hear about this incident. We have zero tolerance for any type of violence and his account was immediately suspended from our platform. We have been in direct contact with the customer and are cooperating with the police in the investigation.
Harmon, for his part, has not commented on the company’s statement, but writes in his social media that the last word has not been said.
“Fight on, Angie. Here you have to stand your ground and review both the company and the food delivery service”, writes one follower.
“Who carries a gun as a food delivery boy anyway!? This must have consequences,” writes another.
People has been in contact with the police in North Carolina, who have investigated the case. They say the following in a statement:
– The driver told the police that he was attacked by a dog while he was in the residence, and that he defended himself by firing a shot that proved fatal. Another dog was present in the residence, but did not attack.
– It’s very disgusting
The police say that no arrests have been made – and that no charges have yet been brought against the food delivery man. This is because the man claims that the dog attacked him first.
