In the video, Frederiksen says, among other things, that after the success of abolishing the Red Day big day of prayer, the government will now also abolish Pentecost, Easter and Christmas. The video is a so-called deepfake, created by manipulating videos and audio recordings of the Prime Minister with the help of so-called artificial intelligence.
– I think it is way over the line for the Danish People’s Party to create a deepfake of a political opponent. It is also a problem for democracy and society, says Denmark’s digitization minister Marie Bjerre. She has artificial intelligence as her political area of responsibility.
– If you want to make deepfakes of people, you must ask for permission. That is the right way to do it, she continues.
Danish People’s Party leader Morten Messerschmidt said on Monday that they had not asked the Prime Minister for consent before making the video.
