I think it’s getting harder and harder to find good wine in cartons. It’s not that there are so many lousy wines out there, but there are so many that are similar to each other, so many that disappear in the crowd taste-wise and that don’t excite me.

And we don’t want boring wines. They certainly have to deliver on both fragrance, taste, balance and mouthfeel. They have to tick some boxes. You have to want to take another sip – after all, there are several liters of the same wine in a carton. Lately, I have set a personal record in tasting wine in cartons.

I know you will have good tips for Easter, both white, red and rosé. Something that suits the Easter meal, something that tastes good in a warm sun wall and of course something for a fireplace, a cuddle and a book. I’ve also found a cool, alcohol-free Gin&Tonic in an aluminum can (!) that I’ve been really crazy about myself.

Try and serve it blindly to someone you know – I dare to bet that person will be fooled and think it’s “the real deal”. Cheers to Easter, to sun and to melting snow!
