In love with the teacher

A love story that has caused many people to raise their eyebrows is the one between French President Emmanuel Macron (46) and his wife Brigitte Macron (70).

Emmanuel was 15 when the two met for the first time. Brigitte, 25 years older, was the 15-year-old’s drama and literature teacher, was married and had a daughter in Emmanuel’s class.

The sparks arose in the classroom, and Brigitte has previously stated that she felt a strong chemistry with her former student.

– I fell in love. He did that too, she previously told Paris Match, according to The Independent.

The two began a relationship, and eventually the then 16-year-old Emmanuel had to tell his mum and dad that he was in love with his teacher. According to The Independent, their son’s relationship came as a surprise to them. They were convinced that Emmanuel was in love with Brigitte’s daughter, Laurence (46), with whom he went to class.

Macron’s mother and father did not support their son’s relationship with the teacher, 25 years his senior, and he was sent from his hometown to complete his schooling in Paris.

Before he left, the 17-year-old Emmanuel is said to have promised the teacher: “I will come back and marry you”.

Shouting glad tidings

The rest is history, and the two became husband and wife in 2007, 21 months after Birigtte divorced her ex-husband. With that, Emmanuel became stepfather to his wife’s daughter and his former classmate, Laurance.

Fell for the stepdaughter

Another relationship that has attracted attention over a number of years is the marriage between director Woody Allen (88) and Soon-Yi Previn (53).

Allen originally dated Previn’s mother, Mia Farrow, 79. According to The List, Previn must have been nine or ten years old when she met Allen for the first time.

– Woody was not interested in meeting us children. The feeling was reciprocated, we were not interested in meeting him either. I hated him because he was with my mother and I didn’t understand that anyone could be with a nasty and mean person. I thought he had to be the same way, Previn previously stated in an interview with Vulture, according to The List.

Eventually, Previn got new siblings when Allen and Farrow had children Moses (46) and Ronan (36).

It wasn’t until Previn was in high school that she and Allen found the tone. In 1991, when Previn was 21 and Allen 56, they allegedly began an affair.

The following year, Previn’s mother found out about the couple. Then she had found nude photos of her daughter at Allen’s. That same year, the relationship between Previn and Allen became public.

Creates complete confusion

– She is beautiful, intelligent and sensitive who has turned my life upside down in a wonderful way, Allen told The New York Times when the relationship became known.

Although the couple was happily in love, they often had to defend their love.

– I am not a backward minor flower who has been raped, abused and spoiled by an evil stepfather, not at all. I am a psychology student who fell for a man who happens to be Mia’s (the mother, journ.anm.) ex-boyfriend. I can admit that it is unmusical, but let’s not get hysterical here, Previn has told Newsweek.

In 1997, the couple married, aged 27 and 62. Two years later, they adopted little Bechet Dumaine (25). The following year they adopted their second daughter, Manzie Tio (24).

Alleged affair

Donald (77) and Melania Trump’s (53) love story began at a party in 1998, two years after the latter had moved from Slovenia to the United States to work as a model. Donald let himself be charmed by the 24-year-younger Melania.

– He wanted my number, but he was with a date, so of course I didn’t give it to him, Melania has previously stated about the first meeting to Harper’s Bazaar.

– I said, “I’m not giving you my number, you can give me yours and I’ll call you,” the former model explained, adding that she called him a few days later.

At the time, Donald had recently separated from Marla Maples (60), with whom he has a daughter Tiffany (30). The billionaire also has children Donald Jr. (46), Ivanka (42) and Eric (40) from a previous marriage to Ivana Trump.

In 2004, he proposed to Melania during the Met Gala, and the following year they got married. At the time, the age difference probably caused a stir, as Melania is only eight years older than her stepson Donald Trump Jr.

Although Melania is always seen by her husband’s side, she has previously stated that she does not always agree with Donald, who is known for his controversial statements.

– I don’t always agree with what he thinks, and I tell him that. I give him my honest opinion and point of view, she told the press in 2018, according to Us Weekly.

In addition to controversial statements, Melania has stood by Donald’s side through scandals. In 2018, Stormy Daniels (44) claimed that she had had an affair with Donald in 2006, in an interview with Anderson Cooper.

The interview came after The Wall Street Journal had reported that Donald’s lawyer had paid Daniels over a million kroner to stay close just before the presidential election in 2016. Donald, for his part, has denied both the affair and having known about the payment to Daniels.

Even with a few scandals on their CV, the couple have stuck together through thick and thin. They have a son Barron (17) together.
