“Norway’s toughest” winner Styrk Eriksen fell in love with competitor Rebecka Andersen

--

After bone-chilling competitions, it was finally Styrk Eriksen (20) who stood as the winner in “Norway’s toughest”. But the tough Hammerfest boy got a prize that was probably far more important than the trophy itself.

Because as the competition intensified, the TV viewers got to witness a budding romance that unfolded between Styrk and competitor Rebecka Andersen (22).

Storm of complaints against NRK

The tough lady is an active robber in Kragerø, and it didn’t take long before she caught sight of the hottie from the north.

But what happened after the cameras left them?

Just having fun

Now ten months have passed – and the couple have kept their romance after the end of filming!

– We are doing very well during the day. There are many people who think it is nice that we are lovers, and we have received feedback that it has been fun to follow us on TV, says Styrk.

Rebecka adds that, after all, they were a bit of a sweetheart outside of the competitions – but when they went to the press, the competitive instinct still got the better of them.

– I am a competitive person. I have to compete in everything, both big and small, so even if we had a good eye for each other and wanted the other to do well – you probably wanted to win yourself too, she says with a laugh.

The couple says that it has been both nice and a little strange to watch the programs afterwards.

– We had to keep the relationship a bit hidden until it was shown on TV – it feels a bit strange, we’ve been together for almost a year!

– But it’s also a bit nice – then you feel a bit of the new love again.

Missing

Rebecka says that it was only on the day of the final that it dawned on them that it was the two of them – and would be the two of them after the competition was over.

They hadn’t seen each other for a while, and immediately missed each other.

– Then we realized that it was real – and no nonsense, she says.

– There is such good energy around Styrk. He is amazing and I feel very safe with him. I also did that during the series. We had a lot of fun together, and actually became quite familiar with each other relatively quickly.

– That’s how it was for me too, says Styrk.

– We got along well quite early on, so then I realized that there might be something here.

– How has it been received that you have found yourself a friend?

– Haha! So far, no one has commented on it. I think most people actually just think it’s a bit funny. She’s a cool lady, so the fact that she’s southern doesn’t matter that much. Not for me anyway, laughs Styrk.

– Get ahead of me

Now he is about to move south – to live with Rebecka.

– I’m moving down to Kragerø in the autumn. Rebecka aims for it to happen sooner, but we’ll see how we manage our time. We want to build a house, but right now it’s time for upper secondary school, so I think we’d be wise to wait a bit with that.

When asked if they are going to set up a crossfit room in the basement, they just grin and say that they are actually like most people – and relax nicely on Sundays.

– Or, it’s a lie. Styrk was actually on top on Sunday. He is the gas and I am the brake in our relationship, so it will be exciting to see how things turn out.
