17 May is probably the day of the year we talk the most about the weather.

And this year, fur-clad Larvikings will nod and smile at each other and state that today, yes today, we were really lucky with the weather.

At least everything points to that, right now.

Good heat and sunshine are reported from Tuesday 14 May until Sunday 19 May.

Admittedly, Larvik risks a cloud cover in the morning, but there is no sign of precipitation.

– Yes, everything now indicates that you will have very nice weather on 17 May, says the state meteorologist Charalampos Sarchosidis.

High pressure in the east, low pressure in the south

Those who have followed the long-term warnings in recent days have probably registered changes from day to day.

And earlier in the week it looked like it might rain on Constitution Day.

Sarchosidis confirms that unsettled weather masses have caused some uncertainty.

– The heat in the next week will come from high pressure in the east, which will move warm air masses in over you.

It is therefore almost certain that the temperature will be good.

– It is still a little more uncertain when it comes to possible precipitation. Because there is a low pressure in the south that can move precipitation clouds in that direction. But right now it doesn’t look like that will happen.
