25 years after it first saw the light of day, we are going to bring back one of perhaps the world’s most famous mobile phone models: the Nokia 3210.

HMD has leaked that information itself, but Nokiamob is said to have discovered that the Finnish electronics chain Gigantti (Elkjøp in Norway) had posted both images and specifications of the retro mobile – before the mobile has been officially launched.

In the pictures, the phone is shown with a blue and yellow cover, and is reportedly planned to be launched on 8 May this year. At Gigantti, according to the information Nokiamob discovered, it will be available from May 15 and will have a price tag of 89 euros, or approximately one thousand kroner.

We do not know what a possible phone will cost in Norway.

Old but new

However, the new phone does not look identical to the old 3210, and several websites point out that it looks like a number of other Nokia mobiles, despite the fact that it clearly resembles the old retro mobile 3210.

The new version should also have received significant upgrades, such as a 2.4-inch QVGA color screen, and a camera with the ability to record video in 720p.

The battery life will hardly be as long as the old phone, but 1450 mAh should still last a while.

HMD should also have confirmed what “everyone” is wondering; the snake game “Snake” will also return.

This plan was shown by HMD itself during a launch earlier this year.

Camera Mattel

Other Nokia phones are also reportedly ready for launch soon. Earlier this year, HMD announced that they have a collaboration with the toy giant Mattel, and that they will launch a physical version of the Barbie phone in the summer.

The iconic pink Barbie phone will, like the original, be a simpler folding phone, and HMD seems to be courting those who want to spend less time on the phone.

However, Mattel will not be HMD’s only partner, although the company is silent on who these are. It is nevertheless reasonable to assume that other exciting concept phones will also see the light of day in the future.
