This is Anfield journalist and Liverpool.no writer David Lynch writes on Wednesday evening that Andreas Kornmayer, Liverpool’s physical manager, is giving up at Anfield when the season is over.

The 49-year-old, who has been at the club for eight years, is the latest in a string of Jürgen Klopp employees who have just two weeks left at the Reds.

“This is Anfield understands that Kornmayer follows Jürgen Klopp out the doors at Anfield this summer,” he writes.

The Athletic wrote that the future of the German was uncertain just over a month ago. That news seems to ring true considering tonight’s news.

Lynch further writes that Andreas Schumberger, the man who has been responsible for training and rehabilitation, has also finished in Liverpool. Previously, Peter Krawietz, Pep Lijnders, Vitor Matos and John Achterberg have also announced their departures.

New faces on the way in

Feyenoord boss Arne Slot has not been officially confirmed as Liverpool’s new coach yet, but the announcement is likely to come in a few days or weeks.

Michael Edwards is already employed in a senior position at FSG, with responsibility for Liverpool FC. Richard Hughes is the club’s new sporting director.

In the article about Kornmayer, he writes that Sipke Hulshoff, Slot’s assistant, will join the move to Merseyside after the end of the season. Performance manager Ruben Peeters and technical advisor Etienne Reijnen do the same.

Now Liverpool also have to look for more faces, because the list of employees on their way out of the club is getting very long.
