PSG – BORUSSIA DORTMUND 0-1:

Borussia Dortmund are ready for the Champions League final after Paris Saint-Germain were beaten 1-0 in the French capital on Tuesday.

The Germans had a goal to aim for from the first match, and when Mats Hummels was able to head in the winning goal undisturbed in Paris, there was nothing that could stop the Bundesliga team.

The national team’s assistant coach Brede Hangeland is not impressed by the hosts’ defensive play in the match-deciding situation.

– Beraldo loses Hummels completely. It is unforgivable with such a large space, he has a meter in front of him and a couple of meters behind him, commented Hangeland during the match on TV 2.

The victory means that Norway will also have a representative in the Champions League final this year. Julian Ryerson made another good game at Dortmund’s right-back, in a direct duel with superstar Kylian Mbappe.

– Dortmund have shown an incredible effort over twice 90 minutes. And what a moment! Congratulations to Julian Ryerson from Lyngdal, who will play in the Champions League final, says Hangeland.

Solskjær in the stands

The first big chance of the game came from the visitors after a counterattack.

The ball was played through to Karim Adeyemi, who got to a good finish inside the penalty area, but Gianluigi Donnarumma held on with a great one-handed save.

Just before the break, it was PSG who were dangerous going forward, when Fabian Ruiz charged a left-footed shot from outside the penalty area.

The shot was attempted to be blocked by Nico Schlotterbeck, who was close to steering the ball into his own goal. Fortunately for the Dortmund stopper, the ball went out for a corner instead.

Thus, the spectators, including Ole Gunnar Solskjær, could see the teams go into the break at 0-0.

Pole, pole, pole, pole

At the start of the second half, the hosts had a huge opportunity to take the lead.

A short corner from the left ended with Kylian Mbappe swinging the ball in from the left – eventually the ball ended up at the back post of Warren Zaïre-Emery, who put the ball in the post.

In total, there were four hits on the post for PSG on Tuesday night – six in total in the two semi-finals.

A few minutes later, it instead slammed into the opposite end of the pitch – also after a corner kick from the left.

Julian Brandt hit the ball directly into the field, where Mats Hummels scored 0-1.

Dortmund will now meet the winner of the match between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the final at Wembley on 1 June.

The first match between Bayern and Real Madrid ended in a 2-2 draw in Munich last week.
