Swedish Alfred Johansson took over Rosenborg before this season. After a winter with uninspiring results in the training matches, Rosenborg has delivered almost flawlessly since the games counted.

In midweek they progressed in the cup. Ull/Kisa from the PostNord league were the opponents and were beaten 3-1.

Not since 2017 has Rosenborg opened a season with more points.

Nine points are the result after four games. Only against Strømsgodset did they go off the field scoreless.

– I think we should have done more against Strømsgodset. With ten points I knew this was good. But again, nine points from the first four is fine in terms of results. We can be happy about that, says Alfred Johansson to TV 2.

Sandefjord and HamKam are beaten at home in Lerkendal. Haugesund lost after two goals from Ole Sæter, while as mentioned they lost against Strømsgodset at Marienlyst.

All teams like Rosenborg want to leave behind in the table. Now awaits the first opponent who is tipped over the Trønders.

Smooth towards Glimt

With its ten points so far, Glimt has already taken the top of the table. Last year’s league champion is undefeated so far. Last weekend there was a draw against Molde at Aspmyra, the yellow jerseys’ only point loss so far.

In midweek, Junkeren was knocked out of the cup.

Rosenborg and Glimt have in many ways changed places in the Norwegian football hierarchy in recent years.

Rosenborg – Glimt, last ten meetings: 2-4-4

The statistics indicate that there will be an even match at Lerkendal on Sunday. Because only two of the last matches have ended with a winning margin of more than one goal.
