On Tuesday afternoon, there was queue chaos in Bergen, after the barrier in the Olsviktunnel was stuck. The electrician who was supposed to fix the problem was left standing in a queue himself, and had to get a police escort to get there.

The stagnant queues led to many people taking shortcuts.

A tipster has sent BT a video of cars crossing the grass on the Flesland side of the Knappe tunnel.

The tipster says that the video was filmed at 18.05, and that the cars were driving against the direction of travel when they came over the grass.

According to the tipster, there were approximately 15 cars that did this.

About 20 minutes earlier, the button tunnel was closed, because motorists tried to back out of the tunnel. According to traffic operator Tom Hansen, 5-6 cars were involved.

– They must have seen that there was heavy traffic and started backing up, said the traffic operator after the closure.
