Saturday 4 May at 11:12

“Hey, does Postgirobygget play for the Russians?”you might be thinking.

If so, think again.

The rockers have perhaps more to do at Landstreff Stavanger than anyone else, and are perhaps proof that some music is Timeless:

– We didn’t make it to the first year, since we debuted in June 1996. Playing there is a lot of fun. This is a new generation, and the fact that they know the lyrics to so many songs is nothing short of astonishing. It makes us proud, writes Hurlen in an e-mail to VG.

– Do you think the Russians have an undeserved bad reputation?

– I think the reputation is undeserved. Everyone I see and meet at the national meeting are excellent young people. I gain faith in the future, replies Hurlen.

Landstreff Stavanger takes place in Gjesdal municipality outside Stavanger.

This is how it was when Postgirobygget played at Landstreff Stavanger in 2023:

Hurlen himself was in a Russian car, a Ford Transit he thinks it was, but it was partying all night long, girls, wine and song?

– I was drunk and loved it. There were four of us, and the name was so juvenile that I dare not mention it. We liked rock.
