The case is updated

Aftenposten has apologized and depublished a case involving King Harald, Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett. The newspaper writes that itself.

– Aftenposten published a case on Friday morning about the king’s consent to Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett’s wedding. The case was unfinished and should not have been published, writes the newspaper.

Communications manager at the castle, Guri Varpe, has not yet responded to Dagbladet’s inquiries.

– The case was published by mistake. It was unfinished and lay outside for perhaps 20 minutes before we discovered it, says news editor at Aftenposten, Tone Tveøy Strøm-Gundersen, to Dagbladet.

Strøm-Gundersen emphasizes that the error was discovered by Aftenposten itself.

– We are working on apologizing to our readers and not least to those affected by that publication.

– We have not read the case. Who is affected?

– Those who are affected are the royal family. The case was about the king’s consent to the princess wedding.

Strøm-Gundersen says that they will now investigate how the unfinished case could be published.

Dagbladet has contacted the manager of Märtha Louise Carina Scheele Carlsen. She currently has no comment on the matter.
