“Turbo-Windows” removes mass you don’t need

Atlas is not a separate version of Windows 10 or 11, but removes many components that can slow down the system after you install Windows with a valid key. Attempts have previously been made to modify Microsoft’s ISO files. It does not go down well.

Microsoft boasts that new Windows versions are faster. This also applies to 11, but tests carried out by Neowin reveal that this is not true: 10 is just as fast.

This is removed or reduced:

The GPU is boss

You can’t expect huge FPS performance, maybe from 1 to 2 percent depending on games and definitely not the lion’s share of them. Then there is a greater chance that the backlog is lower. When it comes to non-gaming things like opening programs and searching Windows, AtlasOS is considerably faster, especially on machines that are a few years old.

Note that Defender can be disabled, so this is an OS that should not be installed on machines of people with below average expertise in cyber security. AtlasOS received a lot of criticism for removing too many security features, and has therefore added the ability to manually enable the following – the focus was traditionally privacy, but they went too far and Defender is one of those that can be enabled:
