– The book took off quite quickly, so it was great fun! The presenter also held the book up during the entire broadcast. It’s very American, but it was pretty cool, smiles Andersen, who has his three-month-old Bo Erik Lilløy Wikdahl on his arm.
It is Kine who has illustrated the book “The manservant guide to modern chivalry”, which is a humorous, feminist handbook about raising modern men in normal politeness.
– I thought it would be much easier to illustrate a book, but it has been more difficult than I imagined. Firstly, everything must be connected and there must be a common thread. Secondly, I draw mostly women, and here I had to draw mostly men. In addition, I had very little time – everything had to be finished in three months, she laughs.
In the middle of this process, Kine was on maternity leave for her now two-year-old son, in addition to working part time at Osebro.

New book
Kine was contacted by Josephine Wai Lin, the one author of the book, who asked if she could draw three drawings – and suddenly the job was hers.
– Josephine has bought some art from me in the past, and I have done other things for her in the past too, so it became very personal that she wanted me to do it. But, I probably didn’t know how big it really was until I was first in it, she smiles.
In September, Kine opened her own studio “NOKKO ANNA” in Drangedalvegen 20. She tells about a lot that happens in the studio, including that she has brought in someone who works with ceramics. Now the 34-year-old is already illustrating a new book.
– I got a job in connection with a project. In addition, I have slowly started my own book as well, she says.
Kine is open about the fact that she had not fully imagined that she would become an illustrator, but that she enjoys it.
– It is only coincidence that I have become a full-time illustrator. But I want to do more books in the future and it is good learning that I have already been given the opportunity, concludes Kine.
