“The eunuch maker”: – Nordmann sentenced to life

--

A Norwegian man in his 40s was found guilty earlier this year of carrying out grotesque body modifications on several other men in London.

Now he has been sentenced to life with a minimum term of 22 years, reports Sky News.

On Thursday, the 150-page verdict was read out at the venerable Old Bailey criminal court in London. Six other men have previously been sentenced in the same case.

The Independent writes that the Norwegian, who is from Drammen and in his 40s, had a freezer full of body parts.

– It was not unusual for the defendants to keep severed genitalia, prosecutor Caroline Carberry said in court.

“Zero”

The men are said to have been heavily involved in an extreme body modification environment known as “nullos”. “Nullo” is short for “genital nullification”.

The man has been singled out as a leader in the community, which British tabloids call a “castration cult”.

– Castrated men and sold the films

He himself has amputated both his penis, a nipple and a leg.

When he was arrested in 2021, the police found his penis in a drawer in his apartment, writes The Independent.

– Triggered by a breakup

In court on Friday, Rashvinderjeet Panesar, who defends the Norwegian, told that a break-up in 2016 “triggered his extreme activities”, writes The Standard newspaper.

– When it ended, he was sent into a downward spiral, said the defense attorney, and continued:

– He had a desire to be the architect of his own body. The changes he made to himself led to a sense of strength.

Huge number

It was from this apartment in the London district of Haringey that the Norwegian carried out – and live streamed – the castration of a number of men via the website The Eunuch Maker.

In good Norwegian: The eunuch maker.

The Independent writes that the website had a total of 22,841 paying users when it was taken down.

According to the prosecution, the man earned close to NOK four million from the illegal operations, which were carried out from 2017 to 2021.

He has been in prison since his arrest in December 2021.

Neighbors saw ambulances

Shocked neighbors of the London dramatist have told British media that they have seen ambulances taking people from his apartment several times.

The Norwegian himself told the Irish Independent newspaper that the operations he carried out were “very professional”.

Just before Christmas last year, the dramatist admitted grievous bodily harm to another person’s body, according to the BBC.

He was convicted of five counts of grievous bodily harm to another person, as well as conspiracy to cause such harm to others.

He was also convicted of production and distribution of indecent images, and possession of illegal assets.

Horrific details

Earlier this year, three men were sentenced for having caused grievous bodily harm to the Norwegian.

It was these three who removed the man’s penis and nipple, as well as contributed to the amputation of the Norwegian’s leg.

It was the Norwegian himself who allegedly asked them to do it.

Horrific details emerged in court about how his leg was frozen with dry ice and damaged to such an extent that an amputation was necessary.

After the amputation, the drummer had to get around in a wheelchair. According to The Guardian, he should have received over NOK 200,000 in social security over a period of two years.

– Extremely challenging

Following the verdict in January, Detective Inspector Amanda Greig of the Metropolitan Police said in a press release:

– This has been a lengthy and extremely challenging investigation due to the complexity of the offences. My team has gone through massive amounts of horrific material to identify victims and the perpetrators.

She asked people to get in touch if they have been in contact with the network.

– The criminals are part of a larger network of men who have participated in illegal backstreet operations, often with life-threatening consequences. We have identified the network which spans the UK and several countries, which means we share intelligence with a number of police forces, she said.
