Norway plays its matches in the group stage in Prague, and in the first match on the opening day, Switzerland is on the opposite half of the court. In addition to Switzerland, the national team faces the Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark, Canada, Austria and Great Britain in the group stage.

Perhaps Norway’s best ice hockey player ever, Mats Zuccarellohave decided to join their first World Cup since 2016. It will probably be tough to get to a quarter-final, but with “Zucca” back in the team, the chances are significantly greater, says Viaplay’s hockey expert Alexander Bonsaksen.

– With Zucca and Thoresen as mentors, it will be very interesting to see the new talents in action. Can they flourish even more with the “oldies” by their side?, says the former national team star.

Bonsaksen have Sweden and Canada as favorites to make it all the way to the WC final in the Czech capital on Sunday 26 May.

– Tre Kronor has won WC gold 11 times, most recently in 2018. In the last five years, they have gone home empty-handed without any medals, and I therefore think we will see a hungry Swedish team in this year’s championship, says the Viaplay expert.

Bonsaksen takes a seat in Viaplay’s hockey studio together with the presenter Kjetil Ånnevik.

Jorgen Klem comments on Norway’s matches, the semi-finals and the final together with Ole Eskild Dahlstrom as an expert commentator. Dahlstrøm will be both expert commentator and studio expert throughout the championship. Reporter in the Czech Republic is Tommy Barstein.

All matches from the championship are broadcast on Viaplay. Norway’s matches are broadcast on V sport 1 and TV3+, the final is broadcast on TV3+.

In addition to Viaplay, most of the championship’s matches will also be broadcast on the V sport channels.

This is how Norway’s matches are broadcast:

11 May at 20.20: Norway-Czech Republic (Viaplay and V sport 1)
