On Monday morning, there is said to have been a traffic accident in Malvik on the E6 at the Leistad junction.

There must be a taxi involved. The windshield is said to have exploded from falling rocks.

“Driver must be unconscious. The emergency services are on their way,” the police initially reported.

Operations manager Roger Mogstad in Trøndelag police district stated that there is a lot of queuing at the site.

– Taxi drivers and passengers are conscious, he says. The stone chips should not have gone through the window, he explains further.

Anita Berglund, traffic operator at Vegtrafikksentralen Midt, says that they have closed the Weather Tunnel after they received a message from another driver who was queuing behind a vehicle that had stopped. Detour takes place via county road 950, old E6.

There is nothing special about the queue right now and I see on camera that it seems to be clearing up. Those who have been queuing are starting to move on and it appears that the fire brigade and ambulance have left the scene, says Berglund around 12.45.

– We have to start opening up again gradually now.

The police finished at the scene at 12.47 and traffic returned to normal shortly afterwards.
