Explosion in central Gothenburg

There was an explosion in central Gothenburg on Sunday evening. It is unclear whether anyone was injured and what caused the explosion.

According to Göteborgs-Posten, the explosion hit a restaurant. The report about the bang came at 11.20pm on Sunday evening.

Photos the newspaper has seen show that several windows have been broken on the restaurant’s facade.

– An explosion has occurred. We are in place and waiting for the bomb squad, says Mikael Lindgren in the rescue service to TT. No fire has been reported at the site.

Killed surfing tourists in Mexico were shot in the head

Three dead Australian and American surfers who were found in Mexico before the weekend were shot in the head, Mexican authorities say.

Mexican authorities confirmed on Sunday that they are two Australian brothers aged 30 and 33 and an American aged 33 who were last seen on 27 April.

The three were found at Santo Tomas in Baja California before the weekend. The state is located in the far north-west of Mexico.

They are believed to have been killed while robbers stole their car, says Baja California Attorney General Maria Elena Andrade. Three suspects, two men and a woman, have been arrested, suspected of being involved in the murders. One of those arrested has a history of violence, drug dealing and robbery, according to the authorities.

Another Norwegian record for Norway’s relay girls in the Bahamas

Yesterday’s feat secured Norway’s place in the Olympics over the distance. It will be the third time Norway has a relay team in athletics at an Olympics, but the first time on the women’s side. At the same time, Norway has had a relay team in the WC twice, both times in the 4×400 meters for women, in 1991 and in 2022.

Taxi driver threatened with knife and robbed car
