This is what the general manager of Bybadet in Ålesund, Marthe Lingås, tells VG.
Because where is Tom Cruise? His private plane landed in Ålesund on Sunday morning. Is it Cruise who has made the trip to Norway, or perhaps family? For now, it’s hard to say.
Mayor of Ålesund municipality, Håkon Lykkebø Strand, has seen nothing of Cruise. Nor does he expect to be invited to dinner with Cruise in the near future.
– I have not heard that Tom Cruise is in the area. If he visits Ålesund, he will at least get to see our beautiful city from its best side in the sunshine. The only type of “cruise” I have seen in Ålesund recently are the cruise ships that dock in the city, says the mayor.

– We have had two confirmations today and have not yet seen the face of someone who looks like Tom Cruise, unfortunately, says general manager Ann Helen Støbakk.

Neither VG nor Ålesund football club can deny whether Cruise climbed the floodlights at Color Line Stadium on Saturday.
– We constantly have a large number of tourists stopping by who say they are in the city with both full and almost empty cruise boats. It is mission impossible for us to be able to remember if one of these is the man you are looking for. A lot of tourists are here on a tour, and they don’t really stand out. Maybe he was the one who was here on Saturday. He wanted to climb the floodlights without safety, and ride a motorbike on the stadium roof…

Ålesund library is regularly visited by Americans who want to find their ancestors. The following question is a recurring one, according to the library.

VG has not been able to find out whether Cruise ate bacalao at XL Diner, spent the morning at church in Borgund Church, or spent the day in a taxi.
