Earlier:

Early in the morning on Sunday, the emergency services had to go to Grane municipality. They had received a report of a single accident on the E6, a little south of Trofors.

– The car must have rolled around after driving off the road, reports the police in Nordland on X at 05:35.

There were two people in the car, and both were taken to hospital.

– Passengers are transported by air ambulance to the hospital in Sandnessjøen. The driver is taken by ambulance to the same hospital, the police report at 06:42.

Police remained at the scene to investigate and it was possible for other traffic to pass.

Operations leader Ivar Bo Nilsson at the police in Nordland says that the police have finished at the scene of the accident, but that they have some investigative steps to do.

– We have a patrol from Sandnessjøen who are on their way to the hospital in Sandnessjøen to talk to the driver, he says to Helgelendingen.

He informs that it was both a car and a trailer that had driven off the road.

– It looked like a war zone where it had driven out. I think that neither car nor trailer will be on the road again, other than on the plane of the tow truck, says Bo Nilsson, and continues:

– It looks like they have driven a moving truck. Both car and trailer were full of goods. A lot of forces have been involved, and everything that was on the trailer was thrown around on the marsh where they drove out.

– Wasn’t there a guardrail where the car drove off?

– There was no car protection, and there is no reason to have car protection there either.

Both car and trailer stand well off the road, and are not a nuisance.

– Bilberger got a bit of a job cleaning up the place, and I would like to believe that the police have taken with them what they found of value in the terrain, says Bo Nilsson.

The police have a hypothesis about what has happened, but operations manager Ivar Bo Nilsson says it is too early to go out with it before they have spoken to the driver.
