At 02.50 the police received a report that two masked men with firearms had met at a party with around 15 women aged 40 to 60 at Breidablikk in Sandefjord.

The police state that the women were deprived of phones, money and jewellery, but cannot go into further details.

The incident is being investigated as a robbery, informs, says operations manager in the Søreast police district, Roger Aaser to Aftenposten.

– So far, no one has been arrested and no one has been given the role of suspect in the case now. The police have not seized any weapons either, says the operations manager.

No one arrested

The perpetrators left the scene on foot, but a witness saw them get into a car not far from the scene.

At 08.00 the police have no control over either the perpetrators or any weapons. But they have been told that there must have been a firearm involved.

The police do not believe there is a danger to others in the area.

The police inform NRK that they have made seizures in connection with the case, but that they cannot comment on them. The attachments should not be about weapons.

– An investigation has been carried out on the spot, and there are many people working on the case, says Aaser.

Just after 07.15 the police finished their work at the scene. The police have been out with both dogs and drones in the area to look for the masked men.

No one was physically injured and the case has been reported.

Work continues with technical investigations, but the police do not want to go into more detail about what they will be working with. They will also investigate whether anything has been caught on surveillance cameras, if any, and whether cars may have filmed something.

Bringing in an interpreter

The 15 women who attended the party are foreign, and speak neither Norwegian nor English. This led to the police not immediately recognizing that it was a robbery when they arrived at the scene.

– But gradually we understand that they are threatened with weapons, the police say.

The police inform VG that only women should have been present at the party. The party is said to have been arranged in a private semi-detached house. There were several registered residents at the address, but only the woman who lives there was present.

The police tell VG that the case is special, and believe that the robbers must have known about the party.

Do the women and the perpetrators have a relationship with each other?

– We don’t know that. It is one of the things we will investigate further, says Aaser.

An interpreter must be brought in so that the women can be questioned, the police say.
