Weekly you can read about shootings, stabbings and violence, which in several cases ends up as murder. In Greenland in Oslo, they don’t just call it “Swedish conditions”, but “insane conditions”.

Hadia Tajik, justice policy spokesperson for the Labor Party, Hadia Tajik, believes serious crime must have stronger consequences. At Stavrum & Eikeland, she explains how we in Norway should avoid “Swedish conditions”.

– We have to take their money, we have to take the Rolex, take the cool cars, take the results of what is illegal activity. Quick money, which comes in quickly, can disappear just as quickly, says Tajik in Stavrum & Eikeland.

Many people are now afraid to travel in certain places in Oslo in the evening and at night.

– Like everyone who has children in this city, I feel that we have to take tough measures so that people feel safe, says Tajik in Stavrum & Eikeland.

500 fewer “active police officers”

Even though more money is now allocated to the police, there are over 500 fewer “active police officers” since Regjeringen-Støre came to power in autumn 2021.

– We need to employ more people with police training in the police. There are over 400 with police training who want a job in the police, but who haven’t got it, because the police haven’t had enough resources to hire them, so that’s a problem, says Tajik.

– The police will get more money in the revised budget, she continues.

– We don’t have much time

We are 10 years behind Sweden, according to Tajik. It is now seven years since Frp leader Sylvi Listhaug went to Rinkeby in Sweden and warned against “Swedish conditions” in Norway. There is not much time left until 2027.

– We don’t have much time. Society must ensure that crime has consequences, says AP’s justice policy spokesperson.

Hadia Tajik does not want to legalize hashish and cannabis like Unge Høre leader Ola Svenneby. Nor has she had the same challenges as Fpu leader Simen Velle, who recently came forward and said that when he was 17, he received a sentence for possession of hashish. At Stavrum & Eikeland, she answers whether she has ever smoked weed and she makes an admission that she did something “crazy” in Beirut when she was young, and that it took strong liquor to sort things out.

Tajik recently said that she was not going to stand for re-election to the Storting for the Aps Rogalands list, but whether that means she is done with politics is not certain. At Stavrum & Eikeland, she answers that, as well as how she sees the success of Trond Giske and the local team Nidaros.

She also tells how she has handled both her political crises and the big crisis of her life.
