The emergency services responded to a fire on Thorøya on Saturday night.
It was just before 01:00 that the fire service and the police were notified of a fire in a bathroom at an institution on Thorøya.
The staff did a brilliant job and extinguished the fire with a powder apparatus before the emergency services arrived.
Wood exposed to smoke
– There is still some smoke at the site. All the people who were on the scene are out of the building. Three people have been exposed to smoke, operations manager Jan Kristian Johnsrud was able to report shortly after the emergency services arrived on the scene.
The police further state that it is suspected that the fire was arson.
– The matter will be reported, it is stated.
15 women robbed
The fire was not the only incident in Sandefjord last night. Just before 03:00, the police went to an address on Breidablikk after two masked men entered a house where there was a party and robbed 15 women for money, phones, jewelery and cash.

Woman bit policeman
An incident was also reported in Sandefjord’s nightlife in the center last night. Two people, a man and a woman, are said to have first been in a scuffle with other guests at a night club at 2.30am.
But the people, who were both in their 30s, did not give up there.
– The woman bit one of the police officers and is being reported for this, she was therefore arrested, the police said last night.
