The police went wide in their first report.

– This is a person who is physically capable of going far. That is why we want to go out widely with a wanted list – because he may have gone far, said Lars Skår Dahl, incident leader at the Agder police district, to Fædrelandsvennen.

On Thursday morning, a search operation was launched for the man from Straiskleiva in Kristiansand.

It was this road that was the starting point for the search operation.

The missing person was fond of going for walks. According to the police, he must have been in good physical shape.

– It has been a good number of hours since he was last seen, but we are starting to look for where he lives. And we drive along motorways where he can walk, said Arve Myklebust, operations manager at the Agder police district.
