From 2016 to 2022, he broadcast live to paying audiences over a website he controlled, showing castrations of other men.
The man has said that he has castrated as many as 58 men, according to NRK, which refers to an online interview in 2022 discussed by the British media.
A total of ten people have been charged in the case, which is linked to a subculture where men are called “nullosGenital nullification is a procedure practiced in a body modification subculture, which consists mainly of men who have had their genitals surgically removed. Those who undergo the procedure are called nullos. Most identify as eunuchs, i.e. a castrated man.» by having the penis and testicles removed.
The Norwegian has been named as the main man behind the group who have voluntarily castrated themselves.
One of the defendants described, according to The Guardian, how he had been contacted by the Norwegian and offered £500 to castrate him with a kitchen knife.
The Norwegian is said to have said that the reason he wanted to castrate himself was that he wanted to look like a “Ken doll” underneath.
Another defendant has admitted to having assisted the Norwegian with the removal of a nipple in the summer of 2019.
The Norwegian has pleaded guilty.
He worked as a nurse, and has also confessed to stealing anesthetic from two hospitals.
In the aforementioned six-year period, he earned over two million kroner from the services.
NRK writes that the 46-year-old has been convicted of five cases of grievous bodily harm, conspiracy to do so, production and distribution of indecent images, as well as possession of illegal assets.
On Thursday and Friday, he appears in court to receive the sentence.
