The founder went bankrupt: – We were actually in a good place

– Very early

– The problems started when a wholesaler went bankrupt back in 2022, says Devold.

Then support the company on several issues. In January, it became known that the company had to lay off nine of the 30 employees at the company, when Bunnpris terminated the national agreement with the company.

– The employees have gone home today and will be dismissed. It is very early in the processing of the bankruptcy and it is possible that someone will come and buy it up. There are currently no signs of that, and there will be no production there under the auspices of the estate in the meantime, says the trustee.

The company Sjøttpartner AS owns almost 80 percent of the shares in Edelgard. E24 has not succeeded in getting in touch with the management of Sjøttpartner. Nor has E24 succeeded in getting in touch with the chairman and the day-to-day manager of Edelgard.

23 million in debt

In the tender request in Møre og Romsdal district court, it appears that the board has requested a tender for the company.

The board estimates that the company has 23 million in debt. The court assumes that the company is unable to pay this down before the debt falls due. The company is also not making enough money, according to the tender request.

– The largest creditors are mainly Sparebank 1 SMN and Innovation Norge, says trustee Devold.
